Abstract

This study explores the empirical relationship between blockchain development, cryptocurrency security vulnerabilities, and their economic impacts across various industries. While blockchain technology has revolutionized sectors such as finance, supply chain, and healthcare, its economic implications and security challenges remain underexplored. This research aims to fill this gap by employing a quantitative approach to assess how blockchain advancements influence economic outcomes, while also examining the security threats faced by cryptocurrencies. The study finds that blockchain adoption significantly enhances economic performance indicators like profitability, operational efficiency, and return on investment (ROI). However, the analysis also highlights that cryptocurrency security breaches, including thefts and cyber-attacks, negatively affect market trust and hinder wider adoption. The results underscore the need for stronger cybersecurity measures and regulatory frameworks to safeguard the growth of cryptocurrency markets and leverage the economic potential of blockchain technology.
